Many soldiers and sailors probably do. I'm surprised it's Level 10. Hey, SSS, how many red and white
stripes did the Star Spangled Banner have?

I think it's pretty hard, because if you know how many states there were at the time (18), you would probably get the question wrong. You have to know the stars were updated after KY and VT joined, but not again until several years after the War of 1812.

We have Dinger for our mascot, a cute version of a Stegosaurus, which also happens to be the state fossil.

I have to say that D.L. was one of the better guest hosts, IMO. His interactions with the contestants were not sloppy/maudlin the way that Meredith's sometimes are. I didn't always appreciate some of his humorous remarks, however.

It also had 15 stripes, IIRC. I've seen it on display at the Smithsonian.

Hi,
This is Nathan Golden. Thank you for posting my transcript.
When I saw San Diego, all I could think of was the San Diego Chicken.
They edited out all of the footage of me talking through the questions and answers.
More later, gotta go to work.

Welcome to the Bored, Nathan! And thank you for your service.
Yes, the question is much harder because the San Diego Chicken is so well known.
Flag questions have tripped up many past contestants. One of our most prolific Bored Buddies, silverscreenselect, didn't know how many rows of stars are in the current U.S. flag. See this post:

So you would have gotten it if they had asked about the Swinging Fryer.
