I was listening to Huckabee just now, announcing he'd won Arkansas. I am wondering about something he said. If you think you know what he means, I'd appreciate your interpreting it. If not, no sweat.
It was something along the lines of protecting the rights of parents to raise their own children.
I have seen no threat to this, and am curious what he meant. Thanks.

I haven't seen too much interference on a Federal level, but in many States, the government does interfere with the rightful power of parents.

In what ways? Making them get vaccinations, or something more invasive?

Intrusive restrictions on educational choices, medical choices (vaccinations), discipline choices.

I do not know if this is what he meant, but the UN Convention on the Rights of Children has been an issue with some conservatives over the years. (Hillary Clinton had been involved in it.)

I was and still am struck by the lack of righteousness in this thread.
