22 percent of Britons think Churchill was a fictional character, and 58 percent think Sherlock Holmes was real.

Only 22%? Don't they know that Churchill was a character created by Harry Turtledove for his alternate history series?

And of course Sherlock Holmes is real - just ask anyone who plays The Game.

Sherlock? Is that Baskerville Holmes' brother?

I saw him play basketball for Memphis State.

Fan? No way. I didn't say I was a fan of Memphis State, I just saw them play in the NCAA tournament in 1984 against Purdue. Holmes and Lee were both on that team.

That was the year that we were picked to finish last in the Big Ten, we tied for the league title, were a given a 3 seed, and sent to play Memphis State (a six seed, on their home court. One in a string of having to play lower seeded teams on their home courts during the NCAA tournament.
