With Burt Lancaster, produced the greatest kiss in movie history.

She was 86.

I saw that kiss on television when I was about 15 or 16 -- just about the right age, I think. Wow! I still remember it even though I only saw it once. She was fabulous.

My favorite role for her was actually The Chalk Garden -- she was a billiant actress. Also, Night of the Iguana. I first saw that when I was a senior in college and quoted her for a while, although it never quite came out the same as when she said it -- "Nothing human digusts me, unless it's unkind or violent."

And, of course, An Affair to Remember and The King and I.

When I looked up her movie list, I came across The Black Narcissus, and now I want to see that too.

Sprots --

Do you get Turner Classic Movies on cable?

If so, I am sure that there will be a Deborah Kerr retrospective coming shortly. And that Black Narcissus will be on it.

TCM Sunday Night has From Here to Eternity and Separate Tables replacing scheduled programming.
As she did for Natalie Wood and Audrey Hepburn Marnie Nixon did the singing for the King and I

No, darn it. It's not even available where I live. I'll keep an eye on the schedule and unless it's on at some ungodly hour, I'll watch it over at my friend's house with the 8 zillion channels.
