Terrible weather in BB heartland

#1 Post by Bob Juch » Tue Feb 05, 2008 8:06 am

Omaha, Kansas City, St. Louis, Evansville, Columbus, Pittsburgh, and upstate NY are all getting major thunderstorms or snow.

And don't forget Louisville - radar indicates some nasty stuff coming through even as I post this. The local stations are predicting that this could be as bad as what came through last Tuesday.

Oops, looked like it was going north of Lou'ville. :(

Thuderboomers here were the good kind -- lots of pretty lightning, but no major damage or flooding, at least not where I was aware.

Minor inconvenience getting to work, since there was a wreck or something on U.S. 41, and that highway piles up with semis at that time of morning anyway. Luckily, I know the back-roads way, and traffic is fairly light there.

Wonder what this will do to Super Tuesday?

We're supposed to get rain, and maybe thunderstroms (in February!) which will eventually change into snow (they said we might get thundersnow-that's weird) tonight. We've been promised several inches of the stuff.

Looks like we will get a few inches of snow. Nothing too major.

In a few weeks, when it is above 40 degrees. and the shorts and t-shirts come back out without jackets, we will look back at the snow and laugh.

Sunday we had white-out snowfall and thunder combined. Weird.
