It's all in what you know - I wouldn't have considered this to be the toughest question in the stack.

I'd have been torn between A and B, and would have used JTQ. Good thing since neither was the right answer.

If you consider Queens "in the WE® zone," then yes, it is. I believe all Virginia had to do was hop on the E train right to Lincoln Center.

Well, now that I've looked at the subway map, it looks like she had to transfer from the E to the C at 50th St.

Still.

Indeed, it is. Astoria is a neighborhood in Queens, just across the East River from Manhattan.

Incidentally, MarleysGrandpa used to own a deli in Astoria, until he lost it in the Great Depression. I visited the neighborhood during an audition trip in 2008; his building and many of the other buildings on the block are still there, looking nearly the same, 70 years later.

Which of the following is not one of the three basic ingredients in black powder, one of the original forms of gunpowder?
A. Potassium nitrate
B. Silver acetate
C. Charcoal
D. Sulfur
I would have loved this question. My buddies and me, back when I was 12 or 13, made our own gun powder. Until something exploded that we didn't think would explode, and it scared us into other hobbies.

I also made gunpowder and fireworks when I was that age. They exploded only when I wanted them to. :P

Then he finds a bamboo like plant and cuts a portion of the wood to form a makeshift gun barrel. He also finds diamond like shards of crystal to use for the projectile.

A fine episode that got a tribute in Galaxy Quest!
[the rock monster chases Nesmith]
Alexander Dane: You're just going to have to kill it.
Jason Nesmith: Kill it? Well, I'm open to any suggestions.
Tommy Webber: Go for the eyes, like in episode 22!
Jason Nesmith: He doesn't have any eyes, Tommy!
Tommy Webber: Go for the mouth, then, the throat, his vulnerable spots!
Jason Nesmith: It's a rock! It doesn't have any vulnerable spots!
Guy Fleegman: I know! You construct a weapon. Look around, can you form some sort of rudimentary lathe?
