You just don't get it. I'll try to explain it to you, but I think I'm just waisting my time....

The lines, textures, that expression. There is no other photograph so exquisite, so balanced, yet the elements are as diverse as nature, all tied together by a single hue of many tones. Look at the lines. Your eyes are drawn to them, yet they aren't parrallel, there is a hint of chaos in them. But they have order.

Oh why am I trying to explain this to such an amateur!

Couldn't the owner of the photo just take it to Walgreen's and have them make a hundred copies for resale? Then he'd have some serious money.

I know we had it in our bathroom.

Add another vote to Marley's. Meh.

I had a drunk girl laying on the floor in my bathroon like that once.

Maybe that's the value. Everyone has a story in it. Every picture tells a story, but his one, well.....

Yes, she has some explicit/gross/arty/repulsive photos. She generally poses for her own photos. She's been around for a while and I have some friends who know her and have some of her photos. She was dating former Talking Head, David Byrne. Here is a list of the most expensive photos sold at auction:

The photo by Adreas Gursky is rather interesting.

You forgot to mention the bouquet and aroma and of course, that hint of je ne sais quoi.

And Cindy could just take her negative/high resolution digital file and make her own copies.

I must be unrefined. I wouldn't pay $3.89 for it...

If you zoom in paper in her hand you can see why the photo is so valuable, it is either an address in Abbottabad or a Kenyan Birth Certificate (hard to tell which).

To me it looks like a list of 11 herbs and spices.

The only way that that pic is worth 3.89 mil is if the picture shown has cropped the view of the nekkid rich guy/politician/actor who would be blackmailed into buying it.

I like how her "laughing all the way to the bank" photo was used for her wiki page.

My ex in-laws definitely had that linoleum in their kitchen.

Just a guess, I think it was a little more popular than the fabric used for the skirt...
