Death of a family friend

My parents were supposed to have a dinner party this past Saturday evening, however, it was canceled due to the tragic death of their friend's daughter. She was only 48 years old.

I didn't know her or of her, but, 48? That is just so sad.

OMG, that's Amy Vining from General Hospital! What happened???

RIP

ETA -- I stopped watching that show in the early 80's & still recognized her immediately.

She had renal failure.

I read about Shell over the weekend. I am so sorry.

I used to love GH when I was a teenager and couldn't believe that she died. From what I read, GH sort of uncerimoniously dropped her from the show. That's one of the reasons I stopped watching, the show had no respect for the history of the characters or the characters themselves.

I hope that they just wanted to report her passing, and what she has been doing since General Hospital.
