We can only hope, I can't take anymore "reality shows".

I think it was the implied pressure of losing the Oscars telecast that really is pushing the studios to end this. It's not so much the TV networks, who are willing to keep going with the reality junk they are dishing out as it is the movie studios, who now realistically stand to have problems with their production schedules. That's why there have been a number of side deals cut (a good move by the writers).

The Oscars generate big ratings, but, more importantly for the studios, they are the biggest exposure most people get the the movie business all year. Having filmdom's biggest event relegated to some backroom press conference would have a huge effect on prestige and somewhat of a ripple effect on box office.

As far as TV shows are concerned, rumors are that some series could resume production and crank out another 5-6 shows to air in April or May. Heroes is done for the year since they wouldn't have time to crank out the next story arc, and 24 probably will just wait for next season as well. Lost is more problematical. They need 8 more shows to complete what had been planned this season and they might try to get them all in.

My first avatar pic of Amanda was taken over one year ago. I thought it was time to give the Bored a fresh look at her.

Tim -- I'll miss the snuggly pic, but this smile is precious and adorable, too!

I love that we have little ones who really show the passage of time.

We all look the same, they change so much.

She is adorable.

She IS adorable. I, on the other hand, sometimes cringe when I see photos of myself now and "then". Time is not quite as good to me as it has been for Tim's little beauty.

I suppose I could break out the fern and let loose a big snore, but I would enjoy the return of New Rules to Bill Maher, so it has a minor impact on my non-watching ass.....
