Hugs, SC. I've been thinking about this too. Friends stationed here and overseas are saying they are on heightened alert at their bases.secondchance wrote:Thank goodness.
What are they saying the backlash might be here in the U.S., and in Israel?
(lots of family there, and my kids may be going there this summer....)
Security has been increased in NYC too.cindy.wellman wrote:Hugs, SC. I've been thinking about this too. Friends stationed here and overseas are saying they are on heightened alert at their bases.secondchance wrote:Thank goodness.

Wow, they've been saying he's been dead a week, and were awaiting the announcement until the DNA reports were finalized.Bob78164 wrote:Now we know what Jack Bauer's been doing since 24 went off the air.
President Obama is speaking now. He says the mission was authorized a week ago, but it was executed today. --Bob
Thanks Cindy. Let's hope all of us, and all of our families everywhere will be in a safer world now, not the opposite...cindy.wellman wrote:Hugs, SC. I've been thinking about this too. Yes, and they're expecting wild celebrations there and all over. Showing the cheering crowds outside the White House now...Bob Juch wrote:Security has been increased in NYC too.cindy.wellman wrote:Hugs, SC. I've been thinking about this too. I'm hugging random people in the streets tomorrow and I'll try and stop by Ground Zero at some point as well...Outside of births, weddings and Millionaire this is the happiest I've been in a decade....secondchance wrote:Yes, and they're expecting wild celebrations there and all over. While this is wonderful news, I've just gotten a little more apprehensive about the flight my family and I are taking in 8 hours from Taiwan back to LAX.Bob Juch wrote:Security has been increased in NYC too.cindy.wellman wrote:Hugs, SC. So they will tie him to a big stick and parade his dead body in a parade down Madison Ave.? That's the Islamic tradition with your enemies.A small team of Americans killed bin Laden in a firefight Sunday at a compound in Pakistan, the president said, and took custody of his remains. Americaj officials said they were being handled in accordance with Islamic tradition.
So there was no Islamic tradition before Madison Avenue was built? I'm surprised to learn that. But I guess it makes sense -- Mecca, Medina, Madison.BackInTex wrote:http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_bin_laden

I am hoping that what this means is that they shoved a pork sausage up his ass and wrapped him in bacon.BackInTex wrote:http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_bin_laden
