Another geography Q that sinks me... I knew it wasn't San Jose; I've been there, and it's about as far from the ocean as you can get in Costa Rica. I knew it wasn't Managua because for some reason I could picture a map.

That leaves Belize and Panama, and I woulda picked Belize because the whole country is close to the ocean. Well, same thing with Panama. Anyway, I woulda picked the wrong one.

This was the toughest question in the stack and elwing and I had a disagreement about it. I said that it seemed too easy and Michaelangelo was the obvious answer because of his association with "the" Pieta (even though it's a sculpture). She, having an art history minor, said that all of the four painters had done pietas, so it wasn't as easy as it sounded. My reaction was that had I been at the Hot Podium, knowing that this was the toughest question in the stack, I would have thought there might be a trick here. I'd have used my 2nd JTQ on this one and kicked myself when the "obvious" answer was the correct one.

There's a book, "The Lost Pieta", that was published last year but I have to wonder how much publicity it's had.
