Denim Day began in 1999 in California to challenge harmful myths about sexual assault and violence as part of an international protest of an Italian Supreme Court decision to overturn a rape conviction because the victim was wearing jeans. As a reaction to this verdict, Denim Day was started, a day that raises awareness for rape prevention.
The Phoenix Family Advocacy Center provides comprehensive services to victims of domestic and sexual violence, homicide and other violent crimes; and works to raise community awareness about these issues and resources available to victims

As I so often do with resurrected threads, I totally missed the post date on the response that my screen defaulted to. As a result, I almost spit my coffee all over my screen when I saw MACRAE's name.

I miss having more people.
