As I watched this contestant I was hoping that she wouldn't know the answer Question 4, because then she'd be faced with whether to guess at the next question and leave with $1000 or walk away with half of her $500 bank. I don't know if there has been any contestant that has had to deal with this situation.

Yes, there have been a few contestants this season with "nothing to lose".
