christie1111,

How is your Mom doing? How did swampyturtle's interview go?

silvercamaro,

How is Annie recovery coming along? How about Lizbit?
Any newer pictures of the new babycamaro Isabella?

Annie seems to be doing fine. Finally, even I can see some new skin -- thin, fragile, smooth, hairless, pink stuff that is nevertheless identifiable as skin -- creeping cell by cell across the ragged edges of her back wound. She goes back to the surgeon on Monday, when we will be told when to come back again. This process will continue for many more weeks. The surgeon has said that if the wound doesn't close completely on its own, then we then will revisit the possibility of skin grafting, but the smaller the graft, the easier it will be on Annie (because that skin has to be harvested from somewhere else) and the better chance the graft has to be successful.

Lizbit is doing fine, although I think she's going a little stir crazy without having as many places to go. (I can't start her back in school until March, after I'm through with the Gridiron Show, and neither Annie nor Lizbit has been allowed to be around Rusty. Since he was Lizbit's brother, buddy, mentor, and occasional nanny, that's a loss for her. Somehow, I don't think Annie minds, but I may be wrong about that. Dogs don't usually hold grudges.)

Finally, I do have some new photos of Isabella, but none of them are in a form that I can post, and I haven't yet taken taken the time to perform the necessary technical magic tricks. She remains beautiful, however, as I will prove beyond doubt Any Day Now.

When I spoke to Mom1111 last night, she thought she would go to her friends house today. It will be easier at that house and her friend will help her a lot.

She sounded so much brighter just knowing the end of the hospital stay was coming to an end.

It will be a while before we know about Swampyturtles. At that level it takes a while. But she thought it went well.

Thanks for asking fuzzy. Hope everything goes well for fwh dad. And annoying relatives wise up.

I'm so glad to hear your mom is finally getting out of the hospital, Donna. I hope she's already feeling much, much better!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for your sister.

Also, let me add my thanks to fuzzy for her concern. A lovely woman, she is!
