Today is Theme Thursday, and unlike last week, this one is pretty straightforward.... either you are going to know it or you're not....
1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist, and 3 points for identifying the theme....
1. I've seen it before
It happens all the time
Closing the door
You leave the world behind
2. She ws the color of the Indian summer
And we shared the hours without number
Until one day when the sky turned dark
And the winds grew wild
3. Then in flies a guy who's all dressed up like a Union Jack
And says, I've won five pounds if I have his kind of detergent pack
4. If we could take the time
to lay it on the line
I could rest my head
Just knowin' that you were mine
All mine
5. So I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strain.
A beautiful face without a name for so long.
A beautiful smile to hide the pain.
6. All of a sudden that ole rain's fallin' down
And my world is cloudy and gray
You've gone away
7. My cat is purring
And scratches my skin
So what is wrong
With another sin
8. I'm sure you'll have some cosmic rationale
But here you are in the ninth
Two men out and three men on
9. Listen to me, baby, you got to understand
You're old enough to know the makings of a man
Listen to me, baby, it's hard to settle down
Am I asking too much for you to stick around
10. I got the right tactics to turn you on, and girl I...
Wanna be the Papa...You can be the Mom....oh oh!
11. get the kids and bring a sweater
dry is good and wind is better
count the years, you always knew it
strike a match, go on and do it
12. The sun shines
And people forget
The spray flies as the speedboat glides
And people forget, forget they're hiding

Two comments:
CRAP CRAP CRAP...I remembered that Billy Joel sang that song, but forgot which one it was! And "Storm Front" fit the damn category!
And secondly, I'm almost glad I forgot to include my blanket WAG of Live's "Lightning Crashes".

1. Cold as Ice -- Foreigner
2. Thunder Island -- Jay Ferguson
3. Get Off My Cloud -- Rolling Stones
4. November Rain -- Guns and Roses
5. Wind Beneath My Wings -- this is the Bette Midler version, because it used different words than the Gary Morris version (a muy better rendition, IMNSHO) -- his were "...while you were the one with all the strength. I want you to know I know the truth. I would be nothing without you."
6. Stormy -- Classics IV
7. Rock you Like a Hurricane -- Scorpions (Thank you, Guitar Hero)
8. Pressure -- Billy Joel
9. Lightning Strikes -- Lou Christie
10. Damn. It's not Hot in Herre, which is about the only hiphop song with weather-related stuff in it that I know.
11. Sunny Came Home -- The excellent Shawn Colvin
12. Nope
Theme -- Weather/Climate

About The Weather - Magazine
The weather's variable - so are you
Changes, changes
But I can't do a thing about the weather
Do you have your ticket!
Can you foresee
Changes, changes
Another time when we might be together!
You have a broken window
Through which the rain pours in my ear
This weeks been all ears and edges
Its getting like a career
A chain of events
A change of heart
A chain of events
A change of heart
I will study your change of heart in depth
The weather's variable ...
Now youre leaning on a fountain
With the sunshine on your shoes
You dislike the climate but you like the place
I hope you learn to live with what you choose
A chain of events ...
I"m so changeable - its so frightening
