Am I correct in assuming that the top question in the randomized category tree was Spice World? --Bob

Question #7 * Band Names
What band took its name from a character in the Jane Fonda sci-fi flick "Babarella"?

A: Jethro Tull B: Duran Duran
C: Steely Dan D: Alice Cooper

Andy doesn't think it's Duran Duran. Meredith reminds Andy that he could walk with $12,000, but has has an inkling that it's Jethro Tull.

Andy: I'm gonna go for it, Meredith! Maybe I'm not going to go for it, Meredith.

Now Andy thinks it's not Duran Duran or Alice Cooper, so it's between Jethro Tull and Steely Dan. He makes Jethro Tull his final answer and he falls to $1,000.

[Reveal] Spoiler: Answer
B: Duran Duran
Well, I knew for sure it was not Jethro Tull  , and actually knew the right answer. But not because I saw the movie or know anything about the band, but I thought this was a question on PTWWTBAM. Does anyone know if that is true? I am absolutely positive it's been a show question, but maybe I am confusing this with Jeopardy!, where Alex Trebek hates me...
Innocent, naive and whimsical. And somewhat footloose and fancy-free.

I can't say if Duran Duran was a question on PTWWTBAM, but I missed a question about Roberto Duran when I was on "The Challengers." That was 20 years ago and I haven't watched it in 19+ years, so I should try to find my VHS tape and see if it still works. The Barbarella - Duran Duran connection seems to be pretty common fodder for pub quizzes and such.

Jeopardy has asked the Duran Duran / Barbarella question at least twice:

I think it's also similarly well-known that Steely Dan was named after a dildo in "The Naked Lunch" by William S. Burroughs.

Sometimes it seems that Meredith is trying to help the contestant when she talks about walking away. Too bad he didn't take her advice.
