Well, shucks. I definitely thought it'd be C here. I know that Japanese uses a lot of short, open syllables (starting with consonants and ending with vowels). Therefore, I eliminated B and D right away, and A thereafter due to the "NG" blend in "Ringo". I guess my logic doesn't always work, though. A nice comeback from Peter, despite his wrong answer at $100K.
