OK, if this had been in Carter's stack I'd have walked away because I would have had no idea. Macau was probably the third on my mental list of the four choices.

Why would the U.S Census Bureau be tracking this? Don't they have enough trouble keeping track of our population?
Macau made as much sense as Singapore to me. The Chinese, and Asians in general, seem to live a long time if they have a decent standard of living and Macau, as a long time Portuguese territory and more recent history of income from the gambling industry there probably has typically done better than mainland China and presumably has regular access to protein from seafood.
