OK up to the last question, which I notice was the top question in the un-randomized stack.  I would use a JTQ here as I had zero idea and I doubt the audience would, either. The sports equipment Q was easy for me. Federer plays tennis, LeBron James plays basketball, and Tiger Woods plays golf. None of them use a Louisville Slugger.
I'm just a game show nerd.

In a bizarre move, what country moved its official time back by thirty minutes on December 9, 2007?
A. Singapore B. Venezuela

[Reveal] Spoiler: Answer and value
Their reference to 'a bizarre move' immediately made me think of Venezuela, because Hugo Chavez is a nut and this is the kind of thing he would do (probably for the purpose of screwing the timing of a US invasion). Singapore and Estonia are both too sensible to do anything like that, and to the best of my knowledge they don't have time in Cameroon, so it would seem necessarily to be Venezuela. But logical though this is, I am not certain I would have gone with it had I been in the Hot Seat. Or Hot Podium. Whatever.
Innocent, naive and whimsical. And somewhat footloose and fancy-free.

He seemed to think it was A-Rod but said that he couldn't recall what sport Roger Federer played, so he wasn't willing to take the risk.

"Bizarre" and "Venezuela" (or, rather, "Chavez") seem to go together.
