I assume that there has only ever been one $500,000 question written about perfume.
On my appearance last season, my $500,000 was in the category "Perfumers."
How many contestants get to say that they get the closure that accompanies seeing a question that would have made them literally run out of the chair if they had made it that far?

I saw your post on Facebook and thought it was a reference to having walked on a question about this, as I had forgotten your "walk" question. Now I get what you meant. It was another transcribing headstart for me, thanks :D

The flashback should have been my favorite perfume-related question, one that caused a college professor at Fordham (my school) to use his last two lifelines and walk in 2001.
$250K In 1999, a Dallas Zoo researcher found that ocelots are drawn to the scent of which of the following:
a. Altoids Breath mints b. Calvin Klein Obsession
c. Old Spice aftershave d. Glade air freshener

Indeed it was
Spoiler
b. Calvin Klein Obsession

ETA: Now I think they are seriously screwing with the order. The latest preview video on the website has, in addition to some familiar faces, a couple of people I've never seen.

Thanks, Trelayne (TOS: The Squire of Gothos). He quotes this in that episode:
"Is this the face that launched a thousand ships and burned the topless towers of Ilium? Fair Helen, make me immortal with a kiss." I remember looking in the library (back in the day before Google) to find the whole poem.

I would have had no idea, but since I still have two JTQs left, I get to use one and see the $1M question.

Here's a short article about the results of Alfred's game.

Guy will screen the episodes on campus Wednesday, Feb. 16 in Linsly-Chittenden Hall at 4 p.m., he said.
There are still a few minutes to get to the viewing party! :)

Alfred risked $32,600 on the $100K question, which he didn't know cold but felt confident enough in reasoning to go for it.

His payoff for not walking at that point was ending up with an additional $192,400!

I would be hooting like he was, too. Nice job with all lifelines gone fairly early.

Impressive that you wouldn't have needed a jump before this. Unfortunately, the second jump becomes useless at this point. Contestants should be rewarded for getting to the top of the stack with a JTQ: it should turn into a double dip. Two jumps could equal a 50/50. Or even better, an "Ask Watson" lifeline.

Here's a longer article about Alfred's appearance.

http://www.yaledailynews.com/news/2011/ ... at-trivia/
As for the first question of the show, about the song “A Whole New World,” Guy asked the audience for help identifying which movie it came from.

“I’ve seen Aladdin four times,” he said. “But Disney music …I can’t listen to it. It’s too schmaltzy to me.”
So how did he sit through the movie four times?
