I had a vague recollection that he had designed a service station, but to know that it was the only one--and where it was? Definitely a WWOQ in my book.

This list says he designed two banks, but no bus depots or diners.

Ditto with the vague recollection here.

This saves everyone from having to answer the location of a picture of this gas station... (esp. since I've never been within 100 miles of there) :P

Oh, and for Fireball Monday, apparently Cloquet's claim to fame was a fire that killed 453 people in 1918.

So are you familiar with the anecdote about Wright designing a bank with the first drive-up window? The bankers are said to have reacted with derision. Something like, "Are you crazy? Our customers want to walk into our office and take their time with their transactions."

Since almost all of Austria is in the Alps, they separate Zurich from everything. Zurich is more than 35 miles from Prague though.

Weirdly enough, I just learned this yesterday, while going through PBS clips on YouTube:

The question said the tunnel was that long, not that any of those cities were only that far apart.
