OK, I now have "something to do" before the J! test. Lets see how fast I can get home & back. Normally, I could certainly do it in under an hour; its about 20 minutes drive both ways. Even if the train crosses the track en route (sometime happens). Even though the straight route to my neighborhood is officially closed off for street construction, & I may have to "go around".

With the strike going on, I am amazed that anything is new.

The local TV critic reprinted a list from TV Guide that showed how many episodes of various shows are left - House has 2, many have 0 (no CSIs, no Criminal Minds, no Shark, no Cold Case, no Without a Trace, no NCIS) but a few have a handful left, such as Smallville with 6.

House has 3, counting tonight's. One is a "special" as its on Saturday. Why networks do this, I do not know. So as to make the people who miss shows whine. They're not going to get me tuning in to Fox* for anything besides House, Bones & the probably-cancelled KVille. So how am I going to find out about these switches besides living on their web site & on tv.com? tv.com failed me on (CBS's) "Trace", but they usually know better than NBC's own site what new episode, when there is one that is, of an NBC show is airing on any given night.


*Oh yeah, I'll probably give "New Amsterdam" a try if they ever bring it out of its bag. It was supposed to premier in the fall.

So, if it was cancer she had all along, could it possibly cause all those symptoms? Or did she have all those other things along the way, too?

It was odd watching a Christmas-themed episode at the end of January.

Watched with interest last night (as a huge West Wing fan).

I also was drawn into the story from the start becuase of the rock climbing. "The Boy" (:) Marley) really took to rock climbing during the summer and fall at our gym. Thankfully, there is an auto-belay system, so there is no risk of mom's hands becoming paralyzed and dropping him. (In fact, he almost does not weigh enough to trigger the auto-belay system. Often, when he is at the top of the wall, he will hang there until he "throws" his weight down a bit. He oftens stops on the way down until he moves enough to re-trigger his gravity-assisted descent.)
