For a quick recap of the 8:00 event?

Depends on how well I think I did, and whether or not I really want to know. Remaining ignorant of actual results could sustain my dreams for a while longer.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

"someone" is also taking the test.

Who knows when 'someone' will talk about it.

Nah, I'm gonna wanna go home & veg out.

I may take a quick walk outside just before the test; yesterday I was really tired, today not so even though I had to wake up at 6:00am for a doctor's appt (made long before the test was announced to be on this day), but my boss's habit of keeping the temp in here at 80 degrees does tend to sap one's strength. (I have the fan going on me all the time, & open my window whenever I can get away with it.) I spent part of today in a meeting (not a fun one) in a place where the temp was normal, which may explain why I'm not (yet) as sapped today.

I've already had the opportunity to pass an in-person test & flunked it, even though I was sure after that I had "the points to pass" on that one; they may have had enough passers that day that they moved up the bar a point or 2. And I know this one, even for passers, is by regulation followed by an in-person test administered to a group of on-line-passers. So I don't actually have great hopes. But I regard J!, with its time constraints, as "drill for BAM" anyway (not that I'm getting on BAM any time before I hit 70 & gain "codger cutitude"), because in real time my reflexes are not what they once were, even though my knowledge base has increased from what it was in those youthful-reflexes days.

Me too. I'll spend the time collecting the trash that goes out tomorrow. In other words, being productive. What a concept!

I'm going to do a video capture of the test window so I can go back and find out how I did.

Assuming the oncoming windstorm doesn't knock my cable out. The local affiliates are full of dire warnings about winds up to 90 MPH, tornado warnings, possible damaging hail, etc. It's supposed to get to Louisville right around 8PM.

Trash and recyclables are out. Chores done, not to the real work of the evening.

BTW, BD and GW have abandoned me in favor of shopping. Probably a wise move. And this way I can curse freely! Winning scenario all around!

That's good. Over on the J! board, they're asking for folks to do that so we can put together a complete transcript of the test after it's over. (Each day's test will be different, of course, but it will be useful to figure out how we did, seeing as how J! won't report our official scores.)

Good for them!

If anyone phones me in the next 20 minutes, they're going to be rudely ignored! 8)

I hope it works - I did a test and everything seemed to do what it should, but only time will tell.

Thanks for the reminder. Just unplugged my phone. Couldn't get my boss's apart in a hurry (diff model), so shut the interoffice door.

People really do call here after hours for no apparent reason.

50 questions/15 seconds each = 12.5 minutes. But no Fred, Happy or Sad...

Just finished.

Did poorly- wasn't in the right frame of mind.

Won't even bother to figure out how i did, but it certainly wasn't as good as last time (when I got an audition and into the pool, but never got called).

#21 Post by ghostjmf » Tue Jan 29, 2008 7:13 pm

or however they spell it.

I forgot the name (or a recognizable form of it) of a presidential candidate!

I forgot the name of any cities on a particularly famous geographical coast!

Gaaaaa

It "was fun", though

Ack!

Too many I left blank, including some I should have known and name blanked on. I doubt there's an invitation coming for me this year. :(

My brain's getting too old for Jeopardy; give me WWTBAM with multiple choices and no time limit, please!

MUCH harder than the one I took two years ago.

I am highly doubtful that I scraped up 35 right.

Shoulda waited for the Brain Bus.

The only thing good is that if one does hit the bare 35 or so, the process of random selection for an interview will be a LOT easier...
