I can forget it.

A home for the weary.

You might do better. I just took the test for s&g while I was watching tv and passed. Had I been all tensed up trying to be "prepared" I probably would have muffed it.ghostjmf wrote:I can forget it.

I've been having "test yips" the last couple days - waking up in the middle of the night convinced that I'd forgotten some piece of information (such as the name of the national anthem of Russia) or some surrealistic dream in which something interfered with me taking the test). My darling wife had the same response - it's not life or death, it's just a game show.fantine33 wrote:You might do better. I just took the test for s&g while I was watching tv and passed. Same with the old phone game. If I had complete quiet, was seated at an orderly table waiting to dial with a clean notebook and sharpened #2 pencils, I'd foul up. I did my best work kneeling in front of the coffee table scribbling questions in the margins of a newspaper while yelling at the kids to STFU, I'm on the phone.
It's a game show! Have fun!
Can't you do it in another time zone?danielh41 wrote:I have an art class tomorrow night when the Jeopardy test for my time zone is going on. I suppose I could take a laptop with a broadband card and take the test while in class. A naked man sitting cross legged and leaning over a computer while ten students draw him would be a rather interesting sight. But it wouldn't be professional and would distract the class. Maybe next year...
I don't intend to fail the test - I haven't done so in the other years I've done it, and I doubt the test is any harder than those in the past. Of course I'll never know for sure since we never hear about our scores and, even if I pass, there is no guarantee I'll get selected for an audition. But my focus is on the test, and let the rest fall where it will.peacock2121 wrote:Stop looking for excuses before the fact.
Setting up excuses before hand is a plan for failure.
It wasn't exactly pointed at you.earendel wrote:I don't intend to fail the test - I haven't done so in the other years I've done it, and I doubt the test is any harder than those in the past. I beg your pardon.peacock2121 wrote:It wasn't exactly pointed at you.earendel wrote:I don't intend to fail the test - I haven't done so in the other years I've done it, and I doubt the test is any harder than those in the past. Not even not exactly.
More like not at all.
They recommend that you take it in your own time zone, but you are allowed to take it in another, if your schedule requires it.peacock2121 wrote:Can't you do it in another time zone?danielh41 wrote:I have an art class tomorrow night when the Jeopardy test for my time zone is going on. Is there a rule that you have to pick the one in your time zone?

Personally, I think Daniel's pose over the computer would result in some unique drawings! All the other poses have been done countless times, right?
Even better, Daniel could borrow the drawings to take to the J! audition, for a unique hook! You can do a test on a different day.danielh41 wrote:I have an art class tomorrow night when the Jeopardy test for my time zone is going on. I didn't see anything about taking it on another night when I skimmed the rules. But I think I'll try logging in tonight during the Eastern time zone tests and see if I can't take it then.MarleysGh0st wrote:They recommend that you take it in your own time zone, but you are allowed to take it in another, if your schedule requires it.peacock2121 wrote:Can't you do it in another time zone?danielh41 wrote:I have an art class tomorrow night when the Jeopardy test for my time zone is going on. You need to sign up in advance. Get over there and sign up for tonight or Thursday. The info about taking the test in another time zone is in the FAQs -- or somewhere in the small print. I read it, too.danielh41 wrote:

Right from the initial online test page:danielh41 wrote:I didn't see anything about taking it on another night when I skimmed the rules. But I think I'll try logging in tonight during the Eastern time zone tests and see if I can't take it then.
* We strongly encourage you to take the test in your own time zone. However, you may take the test on another night depending on the demands of your schedule. Remember: you may only log in and take the test once. Subsequent attempts will result in disqualification.
