Meredith opened an envelope to reveal Kim's name, making it appear that her selection was a complete surprise. And then, by coincidence, she happened to be sitting on the aisle in the first row.

Reminds me of the Walk In And Win specials, where members of the audience got seats by a random draw, but the selection of contestants was definitely not random.
