wow.. who woulda thunk a "surf school manager" would have the smarts to answer some of these questions? I was very impressed and happy for her!

Seeing how I used to live in Boise, I knew the hot water heating cold. The pipes are even made out of wood!

So they led with her entertaining job, which I'm guessing she does during the summer, for fun. There's something wrong if a professor needs a part-time job as a waitress to make ends meet, though. Or maybe she does that at a restaurant owned by her family? Meredith asked a follow-up question about which job she liked best and Nicole replied with something I didn't quite catch about her family keeping her grounded.

Since Hot Springs isn't the capital of Arkansas, I could eliminate it as a possibility (it helps that I've been to both Hot Springs and Little Rock).

The J! Archive says that game shows run in her family!
Nicole's father, Fran, was a Jeopardy! 1-day co-champion (with future UTOCer John Ryan) who won $5,800, March 12, 1987.

I did know that, but not having been there I guess I just assumed the two were close enough together for some "spillage". :roll:
