Was Question 6 in the news or something? Is there any realistic way for a player to know this? Or is it as much of a WWOQ as it seems? --Bob

I saw this depicted somewhere and I've been trying to remember where. I'm thinking it may have been in one of the Ace Venture: Pet Detective movies. Of course, if that is where I saw it, it may have just been a sight gag and not based on actual customs. At any rate, I felt reasonably sure that was the right answer as soon as the choices came up, despite the contestant ruling it out so quickly.

I don't know. Google can find references, of course, where it's listed under "bizarre rituals" and other such topics, or quoted in obscure books, but I can't recall this custom being mentioned in any movies or TV shows. I'd vote for WWOQ.

And wanting to start a college fund for her toddler. Noni used to work for Lehman Bros. (the audience gave some catcalls when she said this).

Rome is an interesting distractor, but anyone who knows the history knows the answer.

I guessed correctly on this one based on the date. Had I been at the "Hot Podium" I probably would have used a JTQ.

Noni admitted to being a Star Wars geek when this question came up.

A. Slapping your face
B. Pulling your hair
C. Stepping on your foot
D. Spitting on you
Noni thinks she saw a documentary on this. She knows it’s not spitting on you. She makes C. Stepping on your foot her final answer.
D. Spitting on you
Noni leaves with $1K.
This was the toughest question in the unrandomized stack, which explains why there's no obvious answer. Still, of all the answers, D made the most sense. I guessed correctly, but at the HP would have used the second JTQ, figuring the audience wouldn't know this.

How is D more logical than the other choices?

To me it seems the most "rude" of the four.

LOL! I just watched the end of White Witch Doctor, starring Susan Hayward and Robert Mitchum.
They took some (!) liberties with the book's storyline, including giving her a dead husband before she leaves for Africa and making a trader/guide into a Soldier of Fortune, whom she of course reforms.
