When I turn the power on.. the screen does NOTHING... nada, zilch.
I press the Power button for 10 seconds.. nothing.
I had closed the lid after shutting down this morning... it hasn't worked since.
Any ideas?
Pleeze?

Take out the battery. Leave it out for a few minutes. Put it back in and try restarting the computer.

And if that doesn't work try a shotgun. Definitely won't work after that but at least then you will know why.
And it will make you feel better on several levels!
At least until you have to go buy another one...

"I'm the computer troubleshooter. What's the problem?"
"I'm having trouble with my computer. I want you to shoot it."
Check battery charge.
Check battery to see if it will TAKE a charge.
Work the touchpad and buttons.
Good luck.

I'd still take it back. It's definitely a battery problem. Sounds like it may have overheated, but at less than a month old, it shouldn't have done that.
Take it back, seriously. I am glad it's working again, but something is not right.

I don't know why it works, but that's what I do to fix Jeff's laptop.
I am glad that it worked for you.

It may be a slight corrosion problem on the contacts. We've had this issue with our cell phones and a flashlight or two. When you take it out and put it back in, it makes a fresh connection so it works again.
My suggestion if it happens again: Take out the battery and check the metal contacts. Clean them off well, and maybe scratch on them with a fingernail to make sure all the surface crud is gone. DON'T actually scrape them with anything rough.
