Megan Newquist and Patrick Hammer
Anchors from KSTP-5 in Minneapolis, MN
They are playing for a local charity, the Children's Hospital Association. It helps defray medical expenses and ensures that children get the finest medical care. Patrick's newborn son had to undergo surgery at one of the association's hospitals.
Meredith says that everything has already been randomized so there's no unrandomized topic tree.

Question #1 (unrevealed)
In Beatrix Potter's "The Tale of Peter Rabbit," who owns the garden into which Peter sneaks?
A - Mr. McGregor
B - Mr. Darcy
C - Mr. Plummer
D - Mr. Finch
Megan says she hasn't read the book in decades. Patrick thinks he has an idea but it's not a strong one. He looks at Megan and says "I'm going to be perfectly honest with you...which doesn't happen often." He's not 100% sure. Megan asks what he's thinking and he says. Megan thinks the audience will know so they decide to ask the audience.
Scott has far more faith in the audience than he does in himself.
Question #2 (Give a Hand)
A photo of two hands cupping a red apple graces the cover of which of these recent best-sellers?
A - The Kite Runner
B - The Lovely Bones
C - The Girl Who Played with Fire
D - Twilight
Megan is thinking it's. Patrick has no idea; he has kids and hasn't seen a movie recently. Julie is about 65% sure of her answer. Patrick says that if she's only 65% sure maybe they should jump the question. Finally, however, they decide to go with Megan's answer.
Question #3 (Me Me Me)
In an essay, what author famously declared the '70s the "Me Decade"?
A - Kurt Vonnegut
B - George Plimpton
C - Tom Wolfe
D - John Cheever
Patrick has a first guess - he thinks it's. Megan asks him why he thinks that. He replies that is a famous novelist but he's not 100% sure. Megan says that Meredith advised her to go with her gut - Meredith interjects, "Don't drag me into this." Patrick says he's about 60-65% sure. He notes that they've had three pretty tough questions so far. Megan says the audience probably didn't think that, adding that Peter Rabbit wasn't a hard one. They decide to jump the question.
Megan says, "See, you should have gone with your gut."
Question #4 (The Alamo)
The self-described "Napoleon of the West," what Mexican general led his troops to capture the Alamo in 1836?
A - Emiliano Zapata
B - Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana
C - Juan Alvarez
D - Pancho Villa
Scott's gut tells him it's but Megan says she thinks it's because she recognizes the name, although she doesn't know why. Because they can't decide, they use their last jump the question lifeline.
