Local television

My new adventures for the day included appearances on two OKC television morning shows as a participant in a fund-raising venture for the Gridiron Club, which funds scholarships for journalism students in Oklahoma colleges and universities. My task was to show up for improv mayhem in my Nancy Pelosi alleged persona along with fellow cast members from the Gridiron Show, "Barack Obama" and "Bill Clinton." I think we took care of the mayhem, but I learned much for future reference by watching a clip posted by the first station, including recognition that (a) I have no shame, and (b) if I had any consideration whatsoever for mankind*, I would never again sing in public.
On the other hand, my pearls were fabu.

(Scroll down the page to see the clip. It's currently at the top of the lineup, but if it gets pushed back, it's identified in tiny type below the thumbnail as "Gridiron Trio.")
*I have no consideration whatsoever for mankind. Additional appearances already have been booked.

Pearls? I did not notice. You however, looked fabu.
Cute bit and good luck with your fund raising.

Nicely done - but "Nancy" should have had more lines.

It was clear to me that you were in character and it's Pelosi who shouldn't be singing in public...

This is what you all miss by not going to the Grid Iron Show! The characters are fabulous every year, but
I have to say that SC as Pelosi is her finest so far.

So you'll be attending next year? I bet lb will let you ride in the LBN. You'll probably have to ride bitch, though, because I'd wager anything that Kiki ain't giving up shotgun. From what I understand, she's grown rather fond of the Jesus strap.......

After taking in Mz. Pelosi's video, I checked out a website that was given on the page (
http://okcgridiron.org/), selecting the "cast" link, and scrolling down the page just past halfway, I found "somebody" referred to as "a notorious Gridiron scene stealer".
I am not surprised.

I just got the chance to watch the video. Wowsers!
Too bad "Bill Clinton" didn't turn around to show us the pony tail on that 18th century wig he was inexplicably wearing, though.

That rug was awesome! Made me want to introduce him to Donald Trump.

I was trying to figure out how to respond to this when it occurred to me that I have MM's for all four of them. Now that's scary....

I can't quite make out the details. Am I:
• Making a frowny face?
• Biting my nails?
• Stifling an upchuck?

Alas, the perspective I wanted kind of forced me to make the characters scrunched up. I actually drew it a second time, because the first time the cab was even smaller....
I'd say it's kind of a cross between the last two options. I put your hands up to your mouth as kind of an expression of fear/terror.... too bad it would have really looked like a mess had I put one on the Jesus strap instead.....

However, since ES is so often taken with my nutty ideas that the only competitor to my crown is Sprotsie Baby, I'll share my point with you.

We chuckled at all the right places, I believe. The closing line was cute, about the figgy pudding.
