JTQ on $100k-I would think it would be the Loch Ness Monster.

$250K-went to Alaska in 1982. I learned this fact while there.
I'm just a game show nerd.

It seems as if this has come up before, more than once. It was asked on Jeopardy three years ago. See STATES OF THE UNION for $1600.

Not an overwhelming audience response but enough, I guess. As for me, the time (1952) was right for UFOs. Akiva thought that this was after Roswell, and he was right - Roswell was in 1947.

When elwing and I were in Alaska a couple years ago we went to a town called Eagle, where high school students gave guided tours. This factoid was part of the presentation. So I'd be going for the $500K with no lifelines remaining.

He jumped some I knew (I had a ticket a few years ago for a medically-mandated blepheroplasty, as my droopy eyelids are the cause of me flunking peripheral vision tests; however, I don't want to look like a squirrel & don't trust the surgeons not to do that, so I just remember to turn my head a lot while driving, so as to get the side visual field in) & knew some I didn't (I don't know any Mariah Carey songs, much less which song is on which album, & except for the necessity for trivia contests, would like to keep it that way) & did really well.

Way to go Akiva. You don't know me, but your Mom does!

I was really afraid he was jumping stuff the audience would know, & would need that jump later. Instead, having saved ATA, he used it on something on which I would not have trusted them (Winston Churchill's secret investigation), trusted them, & walked away with 100K.

Way to go, Akiva.
