Election season is over for a while - 2011 is a gubernatorial election year in KY so it won't be long before the ads hit the airwaves again.
elwing and I will be taking a brief vacation, going to Ft. Wayne, IN for the weekend. There are some yarn stores there and an Amish community that she wants to visit. I'm going along for the ride.

Found it!
And, you know, I think Sprots would be almost as satisfied if ES moved to Alaska as if he moved to Hawaii! Except for that
still being on the same continent thing.

Alaska would be fine, Marley. Just as good as Hawaii, except that ES knows the way to Hawaii, having been there and all.
He should go there again.

Hey, they believe in rugged individualism in The Last Frontier! If you're old enough to hunt a moose, you're old enough to drive!

If ES is going to Hawai'i he should try Google Maps:
1. Google Maps
2. Get directions
3. Type in Granite City, IL in A
4. Type Honolulu, HI in B
5. Hit directions
6. Check out number 27

If ES wants to do a little kayaking, there are plenty of rivers in Colorado for that......

He should go there again.
But speaking of Alaska, ES could follow up on the recent
SyndieBAM episode and try the Aniakchak National Monument and Preserve. It's on an island even further away than Hawaii and he'd have hundreds of thousands of acres of trees to enjoy with almost no people around.
And there'd be a chance of getting incinerated by the volcano!
