Last day in uniform. Having my 'g'bye' lunch in a bit.
Bittersweet; ready to move on, but I've been doing this my entire adult life.
Interesting times.................

Congratulations, flybrick. May you find your "new" life to be as satisfying and rewarding as your years in the military -- and may you find an agent.
Thank you for everything you've done for all of us while serving the country.

I second (or third or fourth) all of those sentiments and add,
So does this mean you will have time to start the next book?

WOO HOO! Congrats flybrick! I am doing my happy retirement dance for you!
Thanks for serving our country!
Me thinks...now, that you could hmmm, still pursue the illusive syndie BAM appearance.
BTW, its TPTB loss... If it were me, a man in a uniform is quite handsome indeed!
Please tell mrs. flybrick that I am only making an observation (since we have met in person a few years back...I know from whence I speak!)

Big congrats!!!!
So are you someone who is able to sleep in?
My dad (Air Force) to this day isn't able to sleep past 5:30am.

Congratulations, fly, from one vet to another, although my service pales in comparison to yours.
And, yes, "Thank you" is the correct phrase.

My dad was the same; retired from the Air Force and was up every day by 0530 or so.
Not me. I love sleeping in! Of course, sleeping in with kids might only be 8 a.m. or so, but still!
ne, anyone who serves or served deserves a 'thanks!'
Now it's into 'big boy' clothes and a new job starting Feb 1st.

Good luck with the new job.
And, as everyone else has said, thanks for your service.

I couldn't put it any better than Marley. So I didn't try to. I just copied his.
