I can hear Jackie Vernon's voice. "Happy boithday!" A true classic with Jimmy Durante and Billy De Wolfe ("Silly, silly, silly!")

No idea, and I don't think the audience would, either, so JTQ. I didn't think chickens had visible ears (ear holes, maybe). And what characteristic would indicate brown or white eggs? A member of our church raises chickens; I'll have to ask him about this.

Different breeds of chickens lay different colors of eggs. It may be that the colors of their ears is a distinguishing feature of the breeds that lay one or the other (among the "usual" set of breeds used by US farmers, at least), but it seems ridiculous to think that these things are really related.

The Straight Dope has an interesting article about this, which also addresses the question of whether white or brown eggs taste better.
