Last Wednesday, they discharged him from the hospital and I drove him to a nursing home for some rehab. Dad made it clear to all concerned that he was there for "two days". That's "two days", not "a few days". (If I repeated everything he grumbled about in the past couple weeks, I'm afraid I'd wear out the sarcafont button. I'll try to resist.

I brought him home on Friday, according to his wishes, and he's gradually been resuming his normal activities. We went to a follow-up visit with his surgeon yesterday. The pathology report confirms that the tumor was "encapsulated" and was negative in the margins, i.e., it was limited to that one spot and hasn't spread elsewhere. We got all of the little carcinoma bastidges!

Dad should be overjoyed with this news and how everything's went, but he's much too busy complaining about the medical system and little, unimportant issues to think about the big issue. <sigh>
Anyway, it's good to be back!
