Shaking paper

Why does the little paper icon to the left of the subjects sometimes shake around?
My apologies if this was answered in another thread...

I believe it's a "popular thread" indicator, as measured by the number of posts or views or both. And the paper should be orange if there's a new post in the thread.

That looks right, Marley.
And, based on a quick scan, it seems that the threshold is 20 replies before the paper starts a-shakin'!
