Shiprock, near Shiprock, NM. It's an ancient volcanic cone, now considered sacred ground by the Navajos as the Rock with Wings which brought them to this area.

I remember it from my summer 2007 trip, the same day I saw Four Corners. Four Corners was an "I can say I was there" moment, while Shiprock was an impressive sight.SportsFan68 wrote:Shiprock, near Shiprock, NM. I visited Four Corners during my Great Almost Coast-to-Coast Road Trip of '95, but I didn't get any further into NM than that little stretch of highway that leads to it.

Next time any of y'all are anywhere in the Four Corners area, give me a yell. I couldn't make it over to Moab the last time someone ran the Colorado, but chances are usually good.MarleysGh0st wrote:Now you tell me!jacorbett70 wrote:I remember it from my summer 2007 trip, the same day I saw Four Corners. Will do!

Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

Mr. E. Squirrel's attorney is 100% mange free.
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.
