Did we ever learn what Anna did for a living? [Side note: our former Congressional representative was named Anne Northup.]

This is a tough one since all four are Romance languages, so eliminating any of them would be difficult. In the old days this probably would have been a high dollar question. As for me, I don't think ATA will help so I'll use my first JTQ.

As elwing and I watched this, my reaction was, "If there's any justice, this question will be worth $25K."

We went to the market while we were in Seattle last spring, but we didn't see them throwing any fish, although I've seen videos of them doing it.

And she's coming back for the 2012 Olympics, too. What a woman!

No idea, so let's ATA and hope they do.

If a contestant uses ATA and doesn't like the results, can he or she use JTQ on the same question?

Justice because you thought this was the most difficult question of Round One or ironic justice for using the JTQ on an easy question? I'll confess to the latter emotion, particularly when Meredith started her new standard patter about "Let's hope it's not valued at at $25,000."

Yes.

It's Mexican slang for "stupid". If you're a member you'd probably know this.

The latter. Especially after she said that was the answer she was leaning toward.

I think I've been insulted.

Oh, well, as Groucho said, "I wouldn't want to be a part of any organization that would have me as a member." (or words to that effect)

No, I should have said, only if you're a member would you know this. You'll not find that in any dictionary.

If Merriam-Webster online counts, it's in a dictionary. I looked it because I'd never heard of it either.

Question #10: Celebrity Occupations
Which of these TV actors was a professional skateboarder?

A - Zach Braff
B - Jason Lee
C - John Krasinski
D - Jimmy Fallon
Wowsers, a pointless celebrity cum sports question I can answer! This came up in Pub Trivia two weeks ago (the question there was phrased differently, asking something like "Jason Lee, the star of 'My Name is Earl,' engaged in what professional sport for ten years?"
Innocent, naive and whimsical. And somewhat footloose and fancy-free.
