And even though I had the right hunch, I have been strongly tempted to JTQ here, too. I might have heard of this trivia in passing, related to the film, but it's not a Yiddish word I remember encountering in any other context.

I would think that most people would have a tough time figuring where any of these events took place, with Antietam being the most popular. Unlike the Lincoln and Kennedy assassinations, there's a lot of people who don't know where McKinley (or Garfield) was assassinated. And I doubt a lot of people are taught about the Whiskey Rebellion in school nowadays either.

I'm kind of curious how they valued this question originally.

IIRC, the Shrek question was asked in reverse as a FJ a few years back (This animated character was named after the Yiddish word for fear - or somethig along those lines) and I believe it was a triple-stumper.

As anyone who ever lived in Buffalo knows, McKinley was shot there and Teddy Roosevelt became president there as well.

I remember the Shrek final jeopardy question as well. I didn't know it then, but I knew the variation of the question today.
Also I live not too far from where the Burr/Hamilton duel happened. I jog by there often, and it is a fairly well known site among folk on the Jersey side of the Hudson River. I would think a WWTBAM audience would have a fair representation of those folk.

Did you see what happened or were you at lunch?

I assume your office is on Kennedy Blvd East, as I think there are just private homes and a park actually near the site, unless your office is in one of those private homes. Or your office is in that expensive looking house on the end of that street.

We were at the bottom of the Pallisades. By "next to" I meant within gunshot range.

Oh I see, you were at the bottom of the Palisades, I guess somewhere near where the old ferry terminal was, or where those new brownstones/condos went up. You had a nice view of NYC from your office.

I wouldn't have known this except I have been watching a fair amount of "No Reservations" lately. Apparently Bourdain is a big fan of the Ramones and they have been featured in one form or another on several shows to include this song being sung in Argentina of all places.

Marky Ramone is also apparently something of a foody and has been on the show as well.

So while I would have known the answer I am not particualrly a Ramones fan and I didn't know the name of the song the line came from until this question.

Playing from the comfort of home, I could have said that I recognized the chant so I'd go with that one, but without knowing the artist or title or knowing (as in past seasons) that this was a first-tier question, I erred on the side of caution for playing along with the transcript.

I can't find one of the Pepsi ads on youtube with a quick search and I have to leave right soon, but I think there were several of them. The one I recall seeing most is when the convenience store closes and all of the Pepsi cans in the refrigerator case start pogoing while the Blitzkrieg Bop plays.

Funny, I'm not a real devoted Ramones fan, but BB is on the short list of my all-time favourite songs. Gotta hand it to the Ramones, they're pretty iconic and I don't think they ever did a song that was more than 3 minutes long.....

No, but the words Blitzkrieg Bop are repeated about 5845804833 times in the course of the song (and, along with the opening phrase, are about the only words that are intelligible to the casual ear).
