Do you want either the sport or the competition, or both the sport and the competition? I am assuming the former, but will also provide my responses based on the latter assumption [in brackets]
Jeopardy Round - "Cups and Trophies"
$200 - What is Hockey? [Hockey, NHL playoffs final]
$400 - What is Football? [NFL Football, Super Bowl]
$600 - CLAM (and that's the limit of my sports knowledge)
$800 - CLAM
$1000 - CLAM
Double Jeopardy Round - "Chemical Formulas in the Household"
$400 - What is table salt?
$800 - What is ammonia?
$1200 - What is lye (sodium hydroxide)? I suppose Liquid Plumr might be one acceptable response, although such lye-containing products often also contain potassium hydroxide as well
$1600 - What is milk of magnesia?
$2000 - What are mothballs? (the kind made from naphthalene, which are not currently available, to my knowledge, due to unacceptable toxicity when ingested)

Spoiler re: the last clue
Currently, mothballs are made from para-dichlorobenzene, which is C6H4Cl2. This is the same stuff that they make urinal cakes out of, and it is relatively safe, if unpleasant, if ingested. The mothballs made from naphthalene cause hemolysis (breakdown of blood cells) if they are eaten, and you can imagine that pediatric ingestion of mothballs is not that rare. Before naphthalene, mothballs used to be made out of camphor, which is even more toxic, causing seizures with the ingestion of amounts near one gram.

Isn't camphor that stuff in Vick's inhalers?

ToLiveIsToFly wrote:Isn't camphor that stuff in Vick's inhalers?
I believe that Vick's inhalers do contain some camphor, although the primary active ingredient is menthol. Mentholatum ointment also contains both camphor and menthol, but the scent of this product is more camphoraceous. Don't worry about using these products as recommended, however, since you are exposed to trivial amounts of camphor. But if you ate a jar of mentholatum, you might have a seizure.
The way that over-the-counter products like these "help you breathe easier" is interesting. They don't actually open up your nasal passages, but they do affect the cold sensors in your nose and cause them to misinterpret the temperature. [This is the same reason that mints feel "cool" in your mouth.] Your brain interprets the "cool" sensation to mean that the air must be rushing through and causing the equivalent of "wind chill" in your nose, and since this can only happen if your nasal passages are wide open, your brain tells your conscious mind that, indeed, your nose is wide open and you are breathing easier.
The only nasal inhalers that really did open up your nasal passages are no longer available. Benzedrine/amphetamine used to be available as a nasal inhaler a few decades ago.

$800 - NH3 - Ammonia (Work rant: the idiots at the warehouse who stack those wonderful pallets we received pre-wrapped love to put the cases of ammonia on the pallets on its side and then stack about 3 or 4 boxes of heavy detergent on top of it. The result: about 10 boxes soaked with the lovely smell of ammonia, and a chemically hostile work environment. It does no good to complain, the people at the warehouse are infallable...)
