AFAIK, he's only the second major star from "The Brady Bunch" who has passed on. Save for Robert Reed, everybody else is still alive.

Is it just me, or are known names keeling over at a much greater rate the last week or so?
So much for bad karma since this is the first year in 5 we haven't had the Bored Ghoul Pool....

Y'know, there are still 11 months left in the year. It wouldn't be too late to start one. The only real rule change would be no January 1 bonus.
But if there is no 2008 Bored GP, that's fine. I've already got two pools to keep me on my toes: my alt.obituaries deadpool list and my TheGhoulPool.com list.

Oh my -- I didn't know he was still alive! He was also Sgt. Hacker on Gomer Pyle.
Count me in for the GP if we have one.

Allan Melvin's character Sam is well-remembered from "The Brady Bunch", but it may surprise those that remember the show that he only appeared in 8 of the 117 episodes.

Allan Melvin seemed to pop up on nearly every TV show shot in the 60's as well as being the voice of Magilla Gorilla.

Wow! I didn't know that!
Some people seem so obsessed with the morning
Get up early just to watch the sun rise
Some people like it more when there's fire in the sky
Worship the sun when it's high
Some people go for those sultry evenings
Sipping cocktails in the blue, red and grey
But I like every minute of the day
love this song

Probably because I believe his name was mentioned in many more episodes in which he didn't actually appear.
