Anyone can have a kid, but you need a license to catch a fish.

District Attorney Jane Kohlwey said there wasn’t enough evidence to support felony charges.

“I wouldn’t agree with what he did, but legally a parent can restrain a child,” she said. “I have no proof of emotional damage. ... I have to follow the law.

The proof of emotional damage would have been if if had been a Cubs jersey.

Crazy.

Of course everyone knows you need to educate the child at an early age.

JJ knows that the Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans are evil. That Bud Adams is a bad mans. That we don't root for the Jaguars or the Colts unless they are playing the Titans or the Cowboys. The Jaguars are silly because they have green tongues in their logo.

She usually likes the Giants, but is rooting for the Packers because mommy does. She likes the Dolphins because she likes dolphins. She is the snuggliest person to watch a football game with ever.

Sports are a good way to start learning geography.

I don't get sports fanaticism, but think that it's something that you have to learn from your parents. My dad didn't watch sports.

Jeff and I don't really watch sports either.

Maddie threw out a hocky name, Gordie Howe, at Quiz Bowl practice last night and was right. Everyone knows how bad we are at sports, so the kids started applauding when she got it right.

She threw out the name LeBron James once too, because he had been on SNL and got some points off him.
