This kid was a WE/WE if there ever was one.
Good looking, VERY high energy, etc. (almost to the point that I thought he might pop a Ritalin...)

Nonetheless he played the game quite well IMO - note how quickly he answered the geography question, I thought that one would've burned a lifeline for sure.

Too bad he was derailed by a WWOQ where the audience was no help.

I don't think that was a WWOQ. I think it could be reasoned out. The other choices are already relatively low in fat -- there's no need to distinguish a particular variety. --Bob

When I think of Japanese beef, the only answer that occurs to me is "Kobe".

Congratulations to Margaret, for finally getting served a question she could answer. Now Meredith will be able to praise her "terrific" performance at the end of the week, just like she does for all the other celebrity "experts".

Duck was an evil distractor, given how many people associate duck with Asian cuisine.

I've never heard of this meat, but I would've eliminated D because I've never heard of lamb/sheep/mutton being in Japanese cuisine. Now if we were discussing Middle Eastern cuisine or even Mongolian cuisine, then I might have considered lamb as a possibility. Ask the audience, chide their votes, and Double Dip on duck and beef.

The question said nothing about Asian cuisine or Japanese cuisine.

No, but one could guess that wagyu sounded like a Japanese word.

I'm not sure what the relationship between kobe and wagyu is other than they are both types of beef from Japan.

Right. Wagyu is the generic term for this type of Japanese cattle. Kobe is a particular regional breed and trademark.

So Kobe is a type of Wagyu.
No matter where you go, there you are.
