Inaugural Ball

I get to go to my first inaugural ball in a couple weeks.
Well, not a real inaugural ball. As this is the first year for Ronald W. Reagan Elementary in Omaha (Millard), they are having an Inaugural Ball fundraiser. The principal just sent out her "State of the School" address.
We had not planned on attending (despite my wife being on the committee), but the kids really wanted to go. Apparently, three girls made my son promise that he would dance with them. (I wonder if each girlfriend knows about the other two.)
Meanwhile, my Princess Peanut sees this as the perfect chance to wear a fancy dress, style her hair, and put on make-up, perfume, and sparkles.
I threatened to find a vintage powder-blue tux with ruffles to wear.
