While I'm posting photos, this is from my trip to Napa with the Hotel, Restaurant Management Students
from Auburn University. This is one of our students and myself with Kate MacMurray.

The squirrels can but Chapman can't! TAH left for the weekend and I wanted to lay out by the pool yesterday.
The gate has a lock on it and I couldn't figure out how to open the damn thing! If Chapman had been here,
he probably would have opened it quite easily. I had to get to the pool from the gate from
the outside. I think I'm due a lesson on opening the gate when he gets back.

Ours has a little knob on one of the gate doors that has to be pulled up with one hand while pushing the gate with the other hand. Look for something like that.

It has a lock with a key (I had the key!) some kind of magnetic catch and a thing at the bottom that appeared to be keeping me from opening it.

You lift the latch on the top to disengage the magnetic thingie. It was the bottom part that was frustrating me! I tried everything - believe me!!

Everything except whatever one thing opens it!

I can't wait to hear what that is!

Just bringing this forward since I see the Beebs here. Still haven't opened the gate, although TAH swears all I had to do was pull up that handle and push hard! We'll see tomorrow as it raining here tonight and I'm not gonna get out in the rain to try it out.

That is one fine looking pool fence. All be it unassailable. Holy crap. It's really pretty.

It is quite decorative! Ours is very plain, and has lost much of its effectiveness now that Erin has learned how to put her foot on the bottom railing and pull herself up to the knob on the top. But she is old enough to know when Mom REALLY means it, so she knows not to go into the pool area without us. And I can always lock it if she disobeys even once.

Besides, the refrigerator in the pool house died, so the source of the ice pops is now only the garage until we replace it, so one of the major temptations has been removed....

ES looks good behind bars, er, fence.

So this morning I walk out, pull up on the magnetic latch to disengage it, push on the gate on the left side
and the damn thing opens right up! I swear someone sabotaged it on Wednesday. I feel like a complete
idiot. (be quiet LB!!)
