Go Packers!!

#1 Post by SportsFan68 » Sat Jan 12, 2008 5:27 pm

SteelersFan is in a pool where you put in some insane amount of money at the start of the NFL season, and that buys you entry in a weekly pool, no confidence points, a first half totals winner, and a second half totals winner. SteelersFan won second of both halves as well as overall total, which unfortunately doesn't pay anything.

As for the Go Packers! part, the top 12 finishers at the end each get a team name drawn from a hat, and the team that wins the Super Bowl wins $175 for whoever holds that name.

Holy cow, I feel sorry for those guys right now.

Not because it's cold and wet but because you can't see in that stuff. I drove home at 40 mph the other night, not because the road was so bad but because that was the maximum safe speed for visibility.

GO PACKERS!!

Go Packers, indeed!!

I always root for the team in the Bears division as long as the Bears are out of it---OK, so that's like every year but still...

I do this because I believe it is the right thing to do. Just as I am sure that rayxtwo roots for the Cubs when the Cards are eliminated.

That game was fun.

In the later game, I am rooting for the Jags. I played them +7 in the first half, and won a nice amount. I did not play them +13.5 for the entire game, though. I could see them running the ball a lot and keeping the Patriot offense off the field, but it's not clear yet if that will hold. As long as Jacksonville doesn't panic and start throwing too often, it may yet be the revolution.

I am loving the NFC Championship game. Since the Saints are out of it, I like that my next two favorite teams are playing for a spot in the Super Bowl. 8)

Bleech! I root for the Lions and against every other team in the North.

As long as I am able.

Always, up to and including the Super Bowl.

That is the right thing to do.

I might make an exception this year if the Packers are playing the Patriots.

Might.
