No surprises for me. Romney, Tancredo and Hunter are my top three.

Going in reverse order for me:
John McCain: 1
Mike Huckabee: 6
Duncan Hunter: 7
Mitt Romney: 11
(tie) Sam Brownback and Ron Paul: 12
Rudy Giuliani: 14
Bill Richardson: 23
Joe Biden: 24
Mike Gravel: 27
(tie) Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, and Barack Obama: 35
Dennis Kucinich: 36
Chris Dodd: 40
Dodd might be #1 on this quiz, but I've already committed to supporting Obama.

Nelly --
Mine results are similar.
What concerns me is that it won't matter a damn by the time the PA primary comes.

Or the Kentucky primary, which occurs in late May.
Anything can happen, though. At around this time back in 1991, Jerry Brown and Paul Tsongas were leading the polls. Bill Clinton was at or near dead last place and didn't secure the nomination until fairly late in the primaries.

Does it say anything about me that I kept shouting "NONE OF THE ABOVE" at the screen as I read the questions and choices?
How about "We never should have gone into Iraq in the first place, but now that we're there, we should stick around just long enough to try to retain what goodwill we can."
How about, "no fences, but immediate deportation for illegal immigrants and an expedited process for those who wish to immigrate legally?"
Ron Paul was at the top of my list (no surprise) but nobody scred higher than 9.

Well, despite my independent status, I am apparently a Democrat this time around. My score has ALL the Democrats above ALL the Republicans. High score was 36.

Sorry, Mr. K. NoTA is
not a valid response here. You
must select one of the choices which most closely reflects your belief. Don't make things more difficult than they already are. We are already stuck with a bunch of lemmings in office. We don't need any more.

Thompson, McCain, & Hunter tied for first.
I will never vote for John McCain. Not under any circumstances.

Confession time! I voted for McCain in the 2000 presidential primary.
Of course, that was back when he was a Goldwater Republican.

I think I'm the anti-Nelly.
All Republicans over all Democrats. McCain is number 1. Biden is highest Democrat. Ron Paul is lowest Republican. Mike Gravel is lowest overall. I only agree with him on one issue. We both don't believe there should be a consitutional amendment banning same-sex marriages.
Tracey also took the quiz. Despite her Democratic affiliation, Giuliani was number one for her. Her number two was Bill Richardson.

Cool poll--thanks!
I've come a long way since my days as a firebrand conservative--a tie between Giuliani and Biden...swell--my choices are between yet another politician/adulterer and a plagiarizer.
Doesn't seem to matter, though..barring some scandal (always a possibility with them) I think we're getting the Clintons back.

Haven't taken it yet, I bet I score highest for Richardson.
I'll let you know.

Wrong! Richardson comes in fourth. I thought we were the same on immigration, but no. Kucinich's finish doesn't surprise me, nor does Tancredo's.
Mike Gravel 63
Dennis Kucinich 59
Chris Dodd 59
Bill Richardson 56
Hilary Clinton 52
Barack Obama 52
Joe Biden 52
John Edwards 45
Ron Paul 28
Rudy Giuliani 24
Mitt Romney 24
John McCain 21
Sam Brownback 17
Duncan Hunter 10
Jim Gilmore 10
Mike Huckabee 7
Fred Thompson 7
Tom Tancredo 7

Guiliani scored higher for me than Gravel but he is the only Rebuplican in the top half.
Obama and Clinton tied for first, two points below was Edwards.
Thompson was last. I have the exact opposite views on everything.
I am supporting Edwards in the primary. Saw him speak two weeks ago.

I didn't agree much with anybody. Not much of a surprise.
McCain and Paul were the highest but only 17 and 16.
Everyone else was around 10 or lower.

Huh. Joe Biden at the top with 55.
Three-way tie at 53 with Clinton, Richardson, and Obama.
Tied at 50: Kucinich and Dodd.
Tied at 48: Edwards and Gravel.
Top Republicans were Romney and Giuliani at 31.
So, with all the ties I have a shot at finding a candidate I can live with....

How can people get such high scores?
My high score, while not in aj or mrk territory is lower than the lowest Democrat on both Sprots & ears lists. Mini's top republicans even scored higher.
And that is only because no one is even close to my position on immigration.
FWIW, I ended with quite a mixed bag. although 11 could be classified as the lead group, my top 3 were
Richardson
Gravel
Paul

It's all in how you rate the importance of the questions being asked, I suspect.

I really didn't see my positions on the choice list. I did the WWTBAM "best available" thing.
I suppose if it were an essay question, the scores would change dramatically...

The highest score for me was Romney at 36. The highest Donkey score I got was Obama with 10. But, I am in the "less government in our lives entirely" camp so anything, especially Health Care, that involves more government intrusion into our lives I am against. I feel we need to get out of this nanny-state mentality we currently wallow in and become more self-sufficient, both nationally and in our private lives. IMO, where government in concerned, less is more.
A while back, The Robin Williams Peace Plan circulated the Net.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/williams.asp
Even though Williams did not actually come up with this, there are many great ideas in here that I would like to see implemented.

It sounds good, SirG, and it would be good, if everybody were like you. But everybody isn't like you, far from it. That's how we got Social Security -- we could deal with the problem of people who were destitute after the retirement or death of the primary breadwinner by forcing them to save, or we could deal directly with the destitution, which often included people dying of starvation or freezing or living homeless. Roosevelt implemented a way to make people save. A history prof told me that many of the institutions we hold dear were espoused by Eugene Debs when he couldn't get elected as a socialist candidate for President, but his programs happened anyway for the reasons he was espousing them -- a more livable, more sustainable society.
I asked a short while ago why everybody on this Bored who's so opposed to single payer health insurance for everybody isn't taking on Medicare in the same breath .... er, posts. Still no answer, unless I missed it.

I just took the Minnesota Public Radio version, which gave me a much different rating.
Obama
Richardson
Edwards
But Ron Paul was the candidate with whom I agreed with on the most topics.
FWIW, Brownback, Huckabee, Tancredo & Hunter were the only candidates lower than Mike Gravel, #2 on the ist quiz.
