The show comes out of commercial by showing a clip from "Wipeout". John asks, "Are you sure you want to be on 'Wipeout?'" Sergio replies, "I'm a little less sure after watching that, but yeah."

John: "I understand that you have a bit of a nervous habit. When you're uneasy what do you do?"

Sergio: "It's laughter." He has what John calls a "giggle fit". "The more intense the situation the more I'm likely to break out laughing."

John: "Which has to be a bit unnerving if I'm your client. If we're in a courtroom and you're going, 'Your honor, the death penalty in this..." John then starts to laugh.

Because they did not use the possessive form in the question, I'd say there's no correct answer for this question. :P

There's probably a number of jokes to be mined from this exchange, about lawyers and kicks to the groin, at least.

Maybe, but ABC didn't think so (or, rather, not enough people thought so). I like FlashForward and was sad to hear that it had been cancelled.

An audience dursting! And I'd have gone down the same way, though I might not even have used the lifeline. "Battlefield" sounds like it would be the right answer. It should come as no surprise that I don't watch Sunday Night Football. As for the comment about the audience, I'm surprised that was left in since in theory Sergio hadn't seen the ATA before (the previous contestant didn't use it).

Those are state capitals? I thought those were states. Silly me.

Apparently, 72% of this audience hasn't seen a football game recently.

Huh? Are you talking about "its"? That is the possessive form. An apostrophe is used only when contracting "it is" or "it has" into "it's".

Possessive form of "state". The question should've read "Which of these state's capitals...", but whoever typed the question into the show's database is a grammar nitwit.

I think you meant states' since it's a plural possessive.

And I deliberately left out the word I was referring to because I did not want to get tripped up by this singular vs. plural issue.
