Okay, not really but maybe someone can help.
Tonight was a Christmas episode with Randy and Earl just getting out of prison and roughing it with no cash (why Randy didn't keep his job at the prison is beyond me).
I didn't think I missed any episodes but, last I saw, Earl was just about to get out and Hayden Fox freaked and was shredding all his time off certificates.
What's the deal? Did I really miss an ep or are they just showing them out of order with the strike messing everything up?

Nope, you missed an episode. After Earl learned he wasn't going to get out early (and after he kneed the warden in the groin), he turned "bad" and was put in solitary for 2 months. Then there was a botched escape attempt (with Joy playing a nun and Crab-Man a preacher). But it all ended when Crab-Man recognized the warden as a former porn actor who once made a movie in Crab-Man's apartment. Not wanting his wife, the Governor, to find out about his past, the warden finally agreed to honor the early-release certificates.

Roomie says he thinks he read this is the final episode of this season.
Here's a summary of the previous episode (Dec. 6):
After all of the early release certificates that Earl has received from the Warden, the day has finally come for Earl to be released from prison. Or not? After Earl discovers that the Warden has destroyed his early departure tickets, he turns to his friends to help him escape from prison. Randy and fellow inmate Frank devise a plan to get Earl out of jail. With the help of Darnell, Joy and Catalina on the outside combined with Randy and Frank’s help on the inside, Earl should be home free. Or not?
Hope this helps.

Grazie, Caro, for jogging my memory. I remember this now! Wasn't the warden's porn name something like Dick Burns (only funnier) and he was a cable installer (maybe I'm getting it mixed up with The Big Lebowski)? It must have been a long time between episodes.

Aw, this makes me sad. Had I known it was the last I would have paid more attention to what happened with Alyssa Milano at the end. Thanks for the info.

The Warden's porn name was "Richard Jammer!" Yep, he was there to lay cable, 'cause the lady of the house was tired of using her rabbit ears
As for Alyssa Milano -- well, Earl
did say that he could imagine Billie by his side for the rest of their lives. Of course, their lives are gonna be pretty short if they don't get outta the middle of the street! And that was some fake-lookin' CGI when she went over the car!!!
I guess that's the last ep till whenever. Curse you, writers' strike!

I had the same problem, fortunately I still had the last episode Tivoed. Interestingly, in tonight's episode they used Thunderclap Newman's Something in the Air, which was in an LS game last month. See I said that song gets used all the time.
