Not so much, unless it was truly a guess and he didn't bother with a lifeline. Gaye and Roberta Flack were contemporaries, and they did sound alike. :)

They didn't mention his age, but he looked more like an OWG to me. And his voice reminded me of Rodney Dangerfield.

Funny to have an old guy hitting on Meredith, instead of seeing her flirting with the young hunks, but if the PC and contestant packet didn't convince his friends, wouldn't just seeing him on the show convince them, without the necessity for the kiss?

IIRC, he also mentioned that his friends convinced him to try out. :|

How would a kiss convince them unless they saw it? And seeing him on TV would be convincing enough, one woudld think.

Boy, I wish contestants would film their shticklach segments earlier or something, & concentrate on playing when they're on.
